48 Hours with the Sumatran

Today is the day!

Today is the day I set aside for the Sumatran coffee I roasted a couple days ago. I did four tablespoons worth, enough for one French Press and one Moka Pot.

The flavors has settled, and the acidic has dropped exponentially. Using either method, the coffee has a nice filling feel in the mouth. The mocha flavors are there, but there is still a fruitiness underlying, particularly in the distilled espresso prep in the Moka Pot. There is still a bitterness I am not too thrilled with, but it does not mean I have to get the coffee again. However, I do have more to work with and try out.

This might be one to try out on my unsuspecting beta testers.
